It is clear that cinnamon and honey can help you lose weight but with doing some extra exercises.


Cassia cinnamon, a common type of cinnamon, includes large quantities of coumarin. Coumarin found in many crops that can be used to cure oedema, or to retain water.

In Germany, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment claims that even tiny amounts of coumarin, taken for more than two weeks, can trigger liver damage, especially in those who already suffer from liver disease.

Does it mean to avoid using cinnamon? No. But if you take cinnamon with honey everyday, make sure you use Ceylon cinnamon, which includes lower coumarin levels. It is hard to separate the two spices in powdered form. You may need to buy Ceylon cinnamon from a specialty spice supplier, natural food store, Mexican market, or order it online to make sure you are using Ceylon cinnamon.

How to Make Honey and Cinnamon for Weight Loss

While some of the claims are  still negotiated when it comes to weight loss, a daily dose of this combination, one teaspoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon in a cup of green tea or boiled water, will help you shed some pounds or at least taste good.
